Actually, I wanted to say 'MAYBE' rather than YES or NO about recommending the cottage.Contrary to the supplied directions, it is definitely NOT the first lodge in front of you on the corner and it doesn't look like the picture as it has trees in front of it -- or maybe we were staying the wrong cottage! By the first evening it was obvious that the central heating wasn't working as we would have expected with timed on priods morning and evening -- so it was cold! There were no instructions for the timer/thermostat control and we couldn't manage to get the heating on. We finally found that pushing the green button gave 1 hour of 'boost' heat. We asked the caretaker to investigate the next day but she wasn't able to make it work either. So we spent the week pushing the green button every hour! As mentioned by other visitors, the shower would run hot and cold -- I think the boiler settings need adjusting. The 'house' instructions were wrong and out-of-date about the heating and other things as well.If these problems were fixed we would be OK in recommeding it.

The pictures of the location of the static is very old, it sites on a residential site, very busy with traffic. The static was clean and tidy and the owner was very polite and helpful. It’s a shame that the pictures was not updated to reflect the feedback. We found it as a base to get to places and found it was warm and cosy.
