Cosy Cottage in Fowey is praised for its charming location and cleanliness, with guests appreciating its proximity to the town centre and comfortable bed. While some maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience remains positive, with guests enjoying the atmosphere and expressing a desire to return.
The cottage is described as spotless by one reviewer, indicating high standards of cleanliness. However, one mention of a dirty frying pan and uncleaned fire slightly lowers the score.
The location is consistently lauded for its convenience and charm, being close to the town centre and offering a great atmosphere. The only minor inconvenience mentioned was related to road closure, which is beyond the property's control.
The bed is described as 'lovely and amazingly comfortable', but there are concerns about the size of the cottage for taller individuals and a chair in need of repair, which affects the overall comfort score.
Guests report issues with maintenance such as a burnt frying pan, a broken DVD player, and a music box without a charger. These indicate that while the facilities are generally adequate, there is room for improvement in their upkeep.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Lovely cottage in a great location.Pros - great central location for exploring Fowey. Cottage itself very comfortable and plenty of hot water, comfy bed.Cons - unloading/loading not very easy on busy, narrow street. Promise of initial fuel for the fire not met which was disappointing. Also provision of pans very poor, frying pan was rusty and unusable - this needs to be sorted. Also completely agree with previous comments that the steps into the kitchen needing highlights on the leading edges as many stubbed toes!!Overall nice stay and weather was far better than predicted which was a great bonus!

Start with the positives, the cottage is loveley, the location to the town is great, the cottage was spotless, the bed was loveley and amazingly comfortable, plenty of room in the bathroom, a loveley place. Negatives, no fuel was left as was described in the booking and within the cottage information, the fire had not been cleaned from the last person, the frying pan was severely burnt and couldn’t be used, the chair nearest the back door needs to be fixed and was constantly coming loose, there was a Anker music box in the kitchen that we tried to use but the battery was flat, there was no charger to charger so we couldn’t use it, on our last night we tried to watch our weeding dvd as it was our anniversary only to find the dvd player did not work, not sure if the batteries were flat however there were none to replace it and by this time it was late so the spar shop was closed so we couldn’t use it. As a practicing Health and Safety officer I would strongly advise a “mind your Step” sign be displayed above the entrance to the kitchen area, I tripped on the step and hurt my wrist.

Cottage was as described and the location was charming and convenient. Unfortunately, the Highways Authority closed the one-way, narrow acces road on the day of our arrival and also on our departure. This necesitated a lengthy diversion and travel in the wrong direction up one- way streets without any guidance. Nevertheles, it was a most enjoyable stay.
