The stables is a lovely place, a bit out the way and down an unkept driveway. However it needs a good clean, there were black cobwebs hanging from the roof, the rafters under wall cabinets and from the lamps. There was a big gap around the Stable door, a creaking bed and a large wall clock that did not work. The oven did not work either but was replaced next day after reporting it. There was no evidence that any of the electrical equipment had been safety tested. It's a shame, because with a bit of effort it could be a lovely place to stay.

The Stables cottage has a spacious living area, was well equipped and had lovely views of the country side overlooking fields and a lake. Quiet location but within reasonable driving distance to pubs and shops. Good base for exploring the south west of Cornwall.

Tastefully decorated barn conversion. One of four but private. Two bedrooms. Parking. Wi-Fi. Well equipped and comfortable. Light and bright . Small outside area shared with rabbits, swifts, pheasants and visiting geese. Hosts available but not intrusive.Be prepared to drive out for a few miles to get to the attractions but worth it for some peace and quiet.
