Venture into the imposing granite moorland of Bodmin Moor for a more leisurely day trip, with plenty of scenic walking routes where you can enjoy a picnic and magnificent sunsets, or take a trip to Looe for the day for a day beside the seaside, with its stunning beach, waterside eateries and all-around charming atmosphere. The popular attractions of both the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached via a moderate car journey, while all of Fowey, Bodmin and the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are well-worth exploring too.
