Guests say

Guests generally enjoyed their stays at 1 Valley View, praising its peacefulness, beautiful surroundings, and the privacy it offers. The lodge's spa, sauna, and cinema room were highlights for many. The on-site restaurant received compliments for its food and the staff were noted as friendly and helpful. While some guests encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance, these were not universal experiences.

The lodge received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Several guests found it to be clean and comfortable, while others reported issues such as dust, dirty kitchenware, and unclean outdoor areas. The negative comments suggest room for improvement, but the positive remarks indicate that high standards are often met.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, seclusion, and proximity to local beauty spots. Guests appreciated the remote setting and the natural beauty of the area, which contributed to a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

Comfort levels were generally high, with guests enjoying the quality of the bed and the homeliness of the lodge. Some guests, however, mentioned issues with the sofa and bed, suggesting that while the lodge is comfortable for most, there is some variability.

Facilities like the jacuzzi, sauna, and cinema room were well-received, but there were several mentions of maintenance issues such as non-functional kitchen equipment and electronics. The presence of a restaurant on-site was appreciated, although its availability was sometimes inconsistent.

While some guests mentioned welcome packs and gifts such as balloons and Prosecco, there were not enough references to consistently assess the thoughtfulness of the property management. It should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed.

All you could need for a trip away. The hot tub is huge and so relaxing while the sauna is such a fantastic extra I wouldn’t have thought about it before but so nice to have. The staff were so accommodating to us and even let us book in on a Sunday after I called them. I will definitely be returning. The park is very spacious and not looked over by anyone.. a beautiful find..

Come down for my birthday and there were balloons and a bottle of Prosecco. Very tidy. Staff are welcoming. Even before you go, they keep you up to date. Would definitely recommend. Will be back soon, I hope.

Staff friendly and helpful and did go out of there way to help With a few issues we had. I would and have recommended to a friend. The negatives… The view as described from the balcony was simply not there the trees has grown and needed a trim. The windows and glass on the balcony need a good clean. The bed is incredibly hard, I’ve returned home with a bad back & my partner spent Most of the week sleeping on the couch. The jacuzzi tripped a lot of the lodge after turning the bottom bubbles on for all of ten seconds. The EV parking which we thought was a great addition assuming it would be free as it does not Say otherwise in the advert for the property. Was a seperate charge. All that being said we had a lovely stay and did everything we wanted to do
