Recharge the batteries with coffee and cake at one of the many cosy cafés and restaurants, before moseying around the independent boutiques and galleries. Spend days building sandcastles and rock pooling on Looe Beach (0.5 miles) or pick up the South West Coast Path and take the 5.5-mile trail to Polperro. Pass Mediterranean-style vistas and historic ruins, and arrive to find narrow streets, pretty cottages, and pedestrianised pathways lined with bakeries, exhibitions and the occasional Morris dancer.
