  When we arrived we were really impressed by the property but as we unpacked we noticed that it really did need a good clean.

  The skirting boards were really dusty, we probably notice this more as we have a toddler so play on the floor. It felt like it needed a deep clean. The towel rails were also dusty and the toilet brushes were not pleasant. The en-suite shower also requires a deep clean. We didn’t use the en-suite at all as the toilet was leaking. The towel rail also didn’t work in here and the one in the main bathroom was coming away from the wall. I think the property would benefit from some maintenance. Other feedback I would like to give is that some sort of cleaning spray is provided for the kitchen and more than one tea towel. Overall we still had a fantastic stay even with the above and reception did offer to send someone to the property but by the time we had spoken to reception we were unpacked and out and about a lot. The location and site is lovely. We found the main living space to be fab and the outdoor space is also brilliant with a lovely view. The hot tub was spotless and maintained daily.

  Pixie Cottage is a very old fisherman’s cottage and was built when people were shorter than now.

  I’m 5’ 9” or 1m 75cm for those that think that way. I managed to go a whole week without banging my head on the staircase, only doing so on the last morning. For anyone taller I would just say heed the warnings or you’ll collect a good few bruises. Also, you will have to crouch when using the shower as there was barely an inch or so of clearance between my head and the ceiling. Other than that the cottage is great, superbly equipped and only a short walk from the centre of Looe. However, that walk is relatively steep, especially if you opt to turn left and take the short route. You have to bear in mind that we hail from Cambridgeshire where it is relatively flat. I would say that if you have mobility issues I could not recommend staying here but if you are generally fit I would have no reservations whatsoever in saying it’s a great place to stay.

  We’ve been here twice now and both times the cottage has been a DELIGHT! The weather absolutely made the trip last week and we felt spoilt for choice with all the lovely beaches. The cottage is the perfect remote location so we’re not close to lots of footfall and noise. But also really easy distance to Looe and many amazing beaches. We love that we can have 3 dogs here, it’s not often you find places that allow more than 2. We will definitely be back next year! Highly recommend Lansallos beach and it’s less than a 10 min drive from the cottage. It’s been a wonderful time away and we never wanted for anything in the cottage, everything was there and more. Thank you.

  A very nice cottage ideally situated on the quieter side of Looe but easy walking distance into main area. Set over three floors, ground floor a storage and utility area, 1st floor kitchen/ diner and living room, top floor bedroom and shower/wc. Very clean and cannot think of anything that was missing for a great stay. Nice addition of fresh milk and pack of shortbread biscuits on arrival, even tea coffee and sugar were in appropriate caddy’s. Everything has been thought of , just need to add your own food and you’re done. Nicely decorated and laid out. 10 seconds to harbour and 20 seconds to shop or Jolly Sailor pub. Really recommend.

  Overall it was a nice lodge, private and quiet, also reasonably clean, the on-suite bathroom shower cubical was not clean and and there was mould around the bottom of the cubical also at the bottom of the sliding doors in the track were filthy,, also the shelf in the cubicle was very rusty the hot tub was lovely but no sun loungers to relax on when you got out, the Patio furniture was in bad condition with only a couple of seat cushions which were in bad state, we did speak to reception about the condition of these and they replaced the furniture with new cushions which was good, with a few improvements this lodge could be perfect
