The nearby fishing town of Looe, just a short drive away, beckons with its sandy beach, shops, and restaurants. Children can enjoy exploring rock pools or engaging in crab fishing on the quay, while the local fish market offers the chance to procure the catch of the day for a special meal.
For a captivating excursion, the seafaring town of Fowey can be reached by a ferry trip across the scenic River Fowey. A foot passenger ferry departs from Polruan, or a car ferry departs from Bodinnick. Once home to the renowned author Daphne Du Maurier, Fowey is steeped in history and hosts a royal sailing regatta. We had a wonderful stay at "Treen" - a very charming property. The location is simply stunning, nestled in a quiet, unspoiled part of Cornwall yet just a short, scenic walk down to the beautiful Lansallos Cove. Our children loved to return to the beach with their paddle boards every evening after a trip to one of the interesting surroundings nearby. For example: Lanhydrock House and Garden, National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, The Eden Project, the South West Coastpath to Polperro, and many of the old and beautiful villages at the coastline. The accommodation was cozy, equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway with our children and friends. Our perfect holiday home to spend an unforgettable time together. We all want to come back soon!

We had a great stay at Treen. Shame the weather changed from the lovely sunshine all summer, sadly we had no rain free days, just a couple of mornings when we saw blue skies, got wet every day which was a shame. The children didn’t get full use of the garden and the barbque wasn’t used or the garden seating, watching the birds in the garden was a bonus, and seeing a woodpecker.The house is comfortable, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and ideal to have a wet room on the ground floor. We walked to Lansallos beach down through the tree lined path on several evenings. The children loved the waves, sadly didn’t get to swim.I would book again, you need to use the car to get most places, but we had some lovely walks along the South West Coast path, even in the mizzle the coastline is amazing.

As usual treen was brilliant, this is our fifth time to treen with all seven family members of various ages and there is something at treen for all.Awesome stay.
