We had a most enjoyable break. The house was beautifully presented, clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The estate is outstanding, with many superb walks, wonderful gardens particularly in late March when the large variety of magnolia trees are in bloom. To cap all that, the staff that we were fortunate to meet were exceptional. Extremely friendly, helpful and efficient and clearly happy in their employment. Do take advantage of the guided tour should one be available during your stay. We certainly hope we have the opportunity to return.

This place is only 28 miles from home but seems a world apart from busy Tavistock. Out of season, it is a place for walking, enjoying the wildlife and generally slowing down your pace of life. Light the fire, open a book and relax. If you want to wander, there are many paths to tread, mostly easy walking. This is just a beautiful place to unwind.
