Guests say

Sea Spray is a well-liked cottage in Cornwall, praised for its superb location with stunning views and proximity to the beach. Guests appreciate the property's spaciousness and the convenience of nearby amenities. While some guests have highlighted areas for improvement, the unique setting and the potential for a delightful self-catering holiday experience are consistently noted.

Cleanliness has received mixed reviews, with several guests finding the property clean upon arrival, while others reported issues such as dust, dirt under furniture, and a need for deeper cleaning in certain areas. The recurrence of cleanliness concerns suggests room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, proximity to the beach, and accessibility to local attractions. Guests consistently recommend the location for its ease of access and the peaceful environment it offers.

Comfort has been a point of contention among guests. While some found the property comfortable and well-suited for elderly family members, others mentioned issues with mattresses and seating, indicating that while the property has potential, some furnishings may need updating.

Facilities and maintenance have been noted as areas needing attention. Guests have reported broken appliances, issues with doors and windows, and a need for updates in the bathroom. Positive changes have been acknowledged, but consistent feedback indicates that further improvements are necessary.

There is insufficient information to accurately assess the level of thoughtfulness as it pertains to gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. While some guests mentioned finding tea, coffee, and milk upon arrival, it is not clear if this is a standard practice or an occasional gesture.

There is a patio area for each bungalow and the surrounding communal gardens have been landscaped with designated parking bays in front of each property with two spaces. Ever popular with watersports enthusiasts, windsurfers, kite surfers and dinghies can be found skimming over the waves throughout the year. When the tide is out, the historic island castle of 'St Michael's Mount' can be accessed by an ancient cobbled causeway well trodden by Pilgrims over the centuries. Time can be spent browsing the galleries and antique shops, or taking refreshments in the cafes, pubs and tea rooms, which can be found lining the narrow streets of this enchanting coastal village.

We were enormously comfortable and the location is just second to none! We loved the open plan layout and felt the house was a good size. The parking was fab, and the shared outside area was lovely too. The only thing that would have improved the stay ever so slightly is if there was a slightly larger fridge/freezer available as there was 6 of us staying here for a week. Other than that, loved the every second!

The cottage was good size burr not very clean as it had cobwebs on window, floor not swept properly and dust on bed frames, No back door key to lock properly only small laches, windows key did not work, some blinds laches were broken, toilet seat loose. Called the in the phones given on the guid and email but no response . Also cottage was right next to the railway lines so you can hear trains especially in the night.

The entire bungalows are now in a very poor state of repair. The patio door literally fell off the rail and almost fell onto a small child. It took 3 days to wait for it to be bodged back together. Then they had the cheek to say it was the kids pulling the door despite it happening within minutes of getting access to the property. The shower tubing is broken so the shower falls down constantly and sadly caught my son on the head leaving him with a large bump and bruise. Mold all around the bath, bathroom smelt damp and of urine. Shower leaks all over the floor everytime you shower which ruined the white towels. The patio door lock is STILL broken 4 years on so only opens from the inside. Paint peeling off all over the walls. Under the chairs and beds is filthy dirty. I don't really know what else to say except just spend a little of the money you are making on maintaining what could very very lovely bungalows. They are dangerous and we won't be going back!! Sykes how much longer are you going to ignore all these reviews!! It is such a shame no one seems to care about all these problems. It won't be long until the owners have a very large compensation bill to pay so be warned!!
