About this property

Situated right on the Gannel Estuary – a tidal inlet where the River Gannel meets the sea – this boutique-standard coastal retreat offers a truly unique natural experience. With uninterrupted 180-degree panoramic views across the ever-changing estuary, guests will witness the waters filling up during high tide and revealing expansive sandbanks at low tide. You’ll never tire of this view during your stay.

At high tide, the Gannel becomes the perfect playground for paddleboarding, kayaking, or foil boarding. The property’s direct access to the water is a standout feature that truly enhances the experience.

The enclosed, river-facing garden is ideal for alfresco breakfasts, relaxed lunches, or evening barbecues with the estuary as your backdrop.

Inside, the lodge has been tastefully styled by its owners to a boutique finish, with hand-picked furnishings and thoughtful design throughout. Sleeping up to eight guests across four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each room features plush beds dressed in crisp cotton linens, wool throws, and generous wardrobe space.

The open-plan kitchen and dining room is equipped with high-end appliances and a Smart TV, and opens directly onto the terrace – allowing the chef to stay connected with guests while enjoying the view. A separate, spacious lounge offers a second Smart TV, inviting sofas, and an electric stove-effect fire, creating a cosy atmosphere ideal for winter breaks. Guests are welcome to log in to their own Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts for a personalised entertainment experience.

For wet weather days, the indoor garage includes a multi-games table with air hockey and billiards – perfect for keeping everyone entertained.

Perfectly situated for paddle-boarding along the Gannel, and only a short walk from the centre of town. The garden and BBQ area was lovely, fab for the hot weather. Inside, each room was well decorated, and we appreciated the lovely welcome gift. There is parking for 2 cars on the driveway, which makes things a lot easier. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. A great location for a family or party of friends, thanks!

Very comfortable with big sofa in living room and brilliant games table in the garage. The views are incredible. We loved the easy access to the Gannel which is provides a huge sandy expanse at low tide and paddle boarding at high tide. Highly recommend.

Just like a home from home. Space for everyone to have a bit of their own peace and quiet. Great facilities for cooking and entertaining in the kitchen and dining area. The backyard and BBQ areas again were great to use and the vista a great outlook. Alway nice watching the Ganel change with the tides.
