Guests consistently praise the warm welcome from the host, Roger, and the easy access to the beach, though note the path is steep. The property is well-equipped for short stays, with lovely sea views and good parking. While most found it clean and inviting, a few mentioned the cottage is compact and could benefit from some modern updates. Overall, it offers a relaxing and enjoyable base for a Cornish getaway.

Most guests found the accommodation clean and well-presented, with only one review mentioning a need for a refresh and a dirty sofa. The majority of feedback is positive regarding cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, beautiful views, and convenience for exploring North Cornwall. The only minor note is the steep path to the beach.

Guests generally found the cottage cosy and comfortable, though a few noted it is compact and may feel small for longer stays. The peaceful setting and sea views add to the comfort.

The property is described as well-equipped with useful amenities such as a dishwasher, washing machine, and parking. Some mention the kitchen is dated and could use more utensils, but overall facilities meet expectations for a holiday stay.

My honest opinion is this …..We had an extended stay at the Pickle Pot. It’s in need of a refresh. The sofa was dirty, the kitchen very old and lacking a lot of utensils. The bedroom was snug and we couldn’t fit a suitcase in the room. The wardrobes are in the hall by the door which makes getting dressed tricky. You have to walk out into the main living room to get to your clothes. The view of the sea was amazing and Mawgan Porth is lovely. The owner Roger is a lovely host and we had lots of great chats throughout our time there. If you are after a short break a week at most, the Pickle Pot will be fine, but any longer than that you might want to consider elsewhere. It was ok and we made do but it’s very small. We still had a lovely holiday and made the best of it but I would have preferred something a little more modern.
