The village has two small sandy beaches, as well as access to miles of stunning coastal paths. The owners of 9 Chapel Street run the popular trendy bistro on the harbour front at Fore Street, which serves great food ranging from breakfasts to evening meals. Guests can choose from the extensive menu, or even have their own delivery. The village also has a pub, cafés, tea rooms, small craft shops and art galleries.
This is a great base from which to explore west Cornwall, and within easy reach are the fishing port of Newlyn; Penzance with its long promenade and open air heated swimming pool; Lamorna Cove; the famous surfing beach at Sennen; Lands End; the beautiful beach at Porthcurno; the famous open air theatre at Minack, and much more. Mousehole itself is a very special village, whatever the season. Famous for its Christmas and New Year festivities (including the popular Christmas lights), it attracts visitors year after year. This is a superb cottage. Everything has been done with care and attention to detail. The balance between original features (distressed floor boards and roof timbers) and modern comforts (the best shower of anywhere I’ve ever stayed, oven a joy to cook with!) is spot on. It feels like the owners have designed a place they would stay themselves, The essential things done really well, keep it simple but elegant. Highly recommend a trip to the deli and the restaurant they own. The theme of attention to detail goes for those as well!

Loved our stay inside number 9! It is a really beautifully presented cosy cottage. The deli at No 1 was full of local produce and everything you might need and we had a delicious meal at No 2. We will be back! ❤️

Had a great week in Mousehole. Cottage was really cosy and pretty well equipped for two. Parking isn’t great, but that’s sort of to be expected in a small place like this. That said, I’d recommend Chapel Street as accommodation if you want somewhere quiet and away from everything.
