Here there are: another twin bedroom; the spacious family bathroom with rolltop bath and full size shower; and a sumptuous double bedroom which benefits from its own ensuite facilities. A second staircase leads you to the loft room with its sloped ceilings running the full width of the property. Here there is a double bed, two singles, a sofa and an ensuite shower room. It’s ideal for both families and friends sharing. Take advantage of the fantastic range of facilities resting on your doorstep, where you can make a splash with a dip in the pool, challenge the little ones to a game of tennis, test your swing on the putting green or simply unwind at the end of another day of adventure with a crisp pint and a bite to eat in the Old Forge Restaurant. For a wider choice, venture into the heart of Penzance, renowned as West Cornwall’s biggest foodie hotspot, where you can choose from street food, gastropubs and elegant restaurants to name but a few. While you’re in the area, be sure to pack your bucket and spade and head to the glorious sands of the beach, where you can dip your toes in the waters as the soft waves wash into the shores, lounge with a good book, or feel the sand between your toes with a stroll along the coast towards Marazion. If you’d prefer to stay on land, lace up your walking boots and embark on an adventure along the South West Coast Path as it passes through the town, travelling as far west as Lands End, or simply watch the world go by with a view of St Michaels Mount at Penzance harbour. Indulge in a spot of Cornish afternoon tea with a visit to the quaint tearoom at the National Trust’s Trengwainton Gardens, beautifully adorned with walled gardens, winding woodland paths and a peaceful orchard, or explore the manicured grounds of the Grade II listed Nancealverne House. An unforgettable Cornish adventure awaits you with a stay at Barn Cottage.

The bolt to lock the bathroom door was broken. In the main loft room there was the front off of one drawer, the knob off of another, filthy carpets, a pair of someone’s pants clearly visible next to a set of drawers, someone’s makeup next to the dresser, and some packaging from someone’s poncho under the foldout bed. That to me says the most that was done in that room was the bedding was changed (hopefully). Generally cleanliness was pretty non existent and disappointing. There were cobwebs everywhere that clearly had been there for quite some time. We stayed in this cottage last year and we didn't experience this. I would say this needs addressing fast... cleaners have let you down massively.
