About this property

Ludgvan 1 mile. St Michael's Farmhouse is situated in an elevated position above the village of Ludgvan and Marazion, with spectacular sea views, encompassing the whole of Mount's Bay & famous St Michael's Mount. Dating from the 1800s this granite farmhouse, a former Mine Captains house, is full of character with many original features, perfect for all the family. Upon entering you will be welcomed by a large conservatory with comfortable seating, overlooking a delightful enclosed, lawned garden, with quality loungers and furniture, ideal for alfresco meals. The open plan kitchen/diner is a lovely spot to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones, including a dining area for eight, and a breakfast bar for early morning refreshments.

All of those extras you need are stored away in the large utility/games room where you can store bikes and surfboards. The first floor offers a king-size bedroom and a twin, both benefitting from magnificent views towards Mounts Bay, with the addition of a double bedroom and a family bathroom. Tucked away into the eaves on the second floor, and accessed via an enclosed staircase, the family room is really something special, surrounded by Velux windows, with an en-suite shower room. For a leisurely moment or two, make the most of the enclosed garden, whether you are resting on the sun loungers, or hosting a barbecue evening.

Equidistant between St Ives and Penzance, and close to Poldark Country, this beautiful property is just a five minute drive from the beach. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must-visit, as is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Scilly Isles. Plenty of walks are available for those seeking solitude, walkways past some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect base for beautiful Marazion, a wealth of sandy beaches and rocky coves.

The town of Penzance has winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and a harbour, from where you can enjoy day trips to the Scilly Isles. The South West Coast Path passes through Penzance on its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End, and the National Trust owned St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens is well worth visiting.
