About this property

Perched high above Gwenver Beach, with uninterrupted ocean views stretching across the Atlantic, The Coach House is a dream escape for those who crave the coast and want to get off the beaten track.

This spacious retreat sits in one of Cornwall’s most iconic locations, right next to renowned Sennen Cove, and offers a front-row seat to some of the UK’s best surfing beaches.

Arrive via a private lane, where big sea views accompany you all the way, and step into a bright, airy kitchen and dining space that sets the tone for relaxed coastal living.

Upstairs, the first-floor sitting room is perfectly positioned to capture the jaw-dropping panorama, while the seaward-facing balcony steals the show, the ultimate spot for sunset cocktails, storm watching, or simply soaking up the endless horizon.

With three comfortable bedrooms, a ground-floor twin, plus an en-suite double and another twin upstairs, and a garden in front of the house that’s perfect for eating outside, this property blends practicality with wow-factor views.

After a day on the beach, rinse off the salt and sand, then settle in for a cosy evening overlooking the waves. There’s also a handy outdoor tap for washing down wetsuits, muddy paws and walking boots after a day of coastal adventures.

The Coach House is pet-friendly and ideal for beach lovers, water sports enthusiasts, and walkers, with the South West Coast Path moments away. Guests exploring the route towards Land's End will find the welcoming Land's End Coffee Bar & Roastery just a short stroll from the famous landmark – a perfect pit-stop for weary ramblers in need of a good brew.

Stroll down to Sennen Cove for a laid-back seaside atmosphere, where you can book a surf lesson at the award-winning Sennen Surfing Centre, situated right on the golden sands. For something a little different, unwind with a sauna session at Bos Sauna, set right on the edge of the cove with sweeping views of the Atlantic, and if you’re feeling brave, cool off with a sea dip afterwards. When hunger strikes, the beachside Sennen Surf Lodge is a great place to refuel with the sound of the waves close by.

Alternatively, head to the much-loved Old Success Inn or the historic First & Last Inn, both within easy reach, for hearty food and a well-earned local pint. A handy shop nearby makes stocking up simple.

Whether you’re chasing summer surf or dramatic winter skies, The Coach House offers an unforgettable coastal experience – a stylish sanctuary where the ocean is always in view.

Not as described, looks more like a former youth hostel than a 'cottage'. Awful smell of damp permiates downstairs, most windows are sealed shut there, so you can't relieve that. Upstairs nice lounge area and balcony with view. Carpets mouldy and blackened at the edges, new style flooring in bedroom not stuck down properly, so moves when you walk and pinches your toes if barefoot, skirting boards bending from walls lumps out of plaster on walls, awful mattresses (our son had to pile two up in the second bedroom to get comfortable), refurbished bathroom upstairs but water pressure is such that it takes around 50 mins (NO exaggeration ) to run a bath half full of hot water, by which time the water is luke warm. Description of garden is hilarious as it looks overgrown and unmaintained. Parking very tricky but you learn to adapt. Very helpful caretaker and place kept clean but sofa could do with a professional wash. Needs substantial investment to refurb to level of other holiday lets in area, but I suppose if the owners can command in excess of £200 a night in mid season and be fully booked (due to the view) then who am I to comment of business model? We would not visit again or recommend it to friends. We spent under half the amount for the previous week, just down the road, great place, but no sea to view!

The house was as described on the website and well equipped. The location, just off the coastal path and perched above the beach, unbeatable. Would definitely stay here again. The mattresses could do with replacing.
