About this property

St Just 1.7 miles. Tucked away within the countryside of a river valley in the hamlet of Lower Bostraze near St Just, Cornwall, is this attractive, end-terrace cottage of Rose Cottage. Sitting moments away from the Penwith Heritage Coast's wealth of beaches and picturesque towns, Rose Cottage is a marvellous getaway for a small family. After parking in the allocated space, admire your charming surroundings before heading inside your new home-from-home. Make your way to the sitting room, a quirky space featuring original artwork of the area along with ample plush seating for you to lounge on as the flickering flames of the open fire warm you up and the Smart TV entertains you. Continue to the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner, where an alcove beholds a Rayburn which supplies the cottage's main source of heating, alongside a range of other fantastic appliances, including a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The designated chef can use these appliances to whip up culinary delights, to be enjoyed at the dining table as you catch up on your seaside escapades. When day turns to night, ascend the stairs to uncover two lovely bedrooms, a super-king-size and a twin, both enjoying storage as well as Velux windows. The bathroom can also be found on this floor, where you can wash away the day with a relaxing soak in the bath. In the mornings, be sure to head out to the front patio, where a blue picnic bench makes for a great alfresco dining spot, with the countryside as your lovely backdrop. For your amenities, travel a short way to the town of St Just, where a range of eateries are waiting to be sampled, including The Copper Kettle and The Star Inn, along with a range of amply-stocked shops on its high street. Continue on from St Just to the coast, where the National Trust's scenic point of Cape Cornwall awaits, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the sea, before continuing along the South West Coast Path to nearby Kenidjack Valley or Porth Nanven. Why not visit Penzance, a town enjoying access to Long Rock's sands, as well as the delights of Penzance Promenade and Trengwainton Garden; you can catch a ferry to the Isles of Scilly from here, too! More fun can be had in St Ives, where more pristine sands await, along with a thriving art scene, with the wonders of the Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden and The Tate St Ives take centre stage. The stunning Whitesand Bay, Porthcurno, Hayle and Marazion are all within reach, offering even more to experience. Choose Rose Cottage for an idyllic getaway in Cornwall.

St Just is the closest town to Land's End, located around eight miles west of Penzance. The town is an old settlement with a rich mining history, and there are various monuments and prehistoric artefacts to see, notably the Bronze Age village near Cape Cornwall. St Just is well positioned for tourists to explore the far west of Cornwall, since it is on the edge of the moors and near to the stunning north shore. Plain-an-Gwarry, located in the town centre, was used for miraculous plays in mediaeval times and, more recently, for the Lafrowda Festival.

Cosy and comfortable, we adored the Rayburn. Kitchen was really well equipped. Beds were really comfortable. Such a lovely, peaceful and tranquil place. Was a great place for us to rest, relax and recharge. But was also great as a base for us to visit our family in Penzance and St.Erth. We loved being a stones throw away from the moors and ancient stone circles, great for walking our choclador -Nibs! It didn't matter that the weather was wet! Thoroughly recommend this little treasure of a place!

Well equipped and clean and comfortable with lovely walks from the doorstep. Enjoyed the ambience of a secluded valley and cosy fire on the wet days and dark evenings.

The kids voted it the most homely place we have stayed so far. Lovely in the sunshine but a welcoming retreat when it didn't. Thank you for having us. Andy.
