It’s a lovely cottage and we enjoyed our stay. Positives are::- Great hosts, we enquired about dig sitting and they went above and beyond to send us information about local kennels.- location. Really nice walks nearby and walkable to the beach which we really enjoyed- property is good size and well equipped, we cooked most of our meals and it was easy, plus washing machine and dryer are great.- really snuggly sitting room with an electric fireThings to be aware of:- while the large garden is enclosed, it’s not fenced so dogs had to be on lead or very attentively watched even in the garden, not just on walks- internet is so so, sometimes worked well but sometimes really slow. Mostly fine for everyday use but would struggle to work from there or do anything requiring a more stable connection- the water pressure from the shower is on the weaker side. It’s perfect from the taps and I enjoyed a couple of lovely baths, but the shower pressure wasn’t as good. It’s a minor thing and the water is perfectly hot, but as someone with thick curly hair, it took me ages to properly wet and rinse it.Overall I think it’s a good property and fair value for money.

Cottage was cosy, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Mr and Mrs Skews were very nice and made us very welcome. The cottage would be great for walkers. Unfortunately due to bad weather we couldn’t walk anywhere, it was very muddy you really needed wellies. We would drive to the top of the lane park up the walk to nearest pub which was The Packet. It is about a ten minute walk from there. Nice food good atmosphere. Other places around you needed to drive as not many footpaths but only a short drive. The Wello on Praa sands is worth a visit.
