Guests say

Guests consistently praise The Riblows for its stunning location, exceptional cleanliness, and high comfort level. The property boasts a range of facilities including a cinema room, sauna, and hot tub, enhancing the holiday experience. The hosts' warm hospitality and thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs with local produce, are frequently highlighted, contributing to a memorable stay.

Reviewers consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as very clean with high-quality furnishings. The meticulous attention to detail suggests that cleanliness is a top priority for the hosts.

The property's location is highly praised for its peacefulness and proximity to stunning coastal walks, beaches, and local amenities in St Just. The ease of access to the South West Coastal Path and the views of sunsets and the sea are particularly appreciated.

Comfort is a standout feature, with guests finding the property spacious, warm, and cosy. The luxurious furnishings and practical ensuites add to the overall comfort. However, one review mentioned uncomfortable beds and sofas, which slightly impacts the score.

The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen, cinema room, sauna, and hot tub, are frequently mentioned as highlights. The property is described as having everything needed for an enjoyable stay. A minor issue with outside lights was noted but did not detract significantly from the overall experience.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome packs filled with local produce and the provision of amenities like a dog bed and a stocked mini-fridge in the cinema room. While these gifts greatly enhance the experience, it's worth noting that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.

It’s a beautiful and well-equipped cottage. It’s also in a great position for exploring the delights of the coastal path. Lorna was very helpful and responsive. We’d definitely go back!

  • Maya

Such a beautiful place inside and out and it has everything you need and more for few days stay. Lorna and Harvey were both there to help whenever we needed and were really good hosts. We loved the hot tub and the sauna and Jodie the pony was the highlight of our trip! A perfect stay and we will definitely be back!

  • Stephen

Lorna was extremely helpful and generous and it appeared that her primary concern was that we had a good week. The cottage and facilities were amazing and there were lots of nice personal touches around which we appreciated. We would have no hesitation at booking another week here. Thank you.
