The location is useful for touring Cornwall and the property is well designed and fitted to a high standard. However, the Welcome Pack was the most meagre we have ever had at a Rural Retreats property and the owners are very mean minded with basic supplies - a thimbleful of washing up liquid!!, you could easily buy a bottle of liquid from the supermarket for £1. 3 dishwasher tabs, would it really wipe out their profits to provide another 4 to last the week? When I've paid £1350 I don't expect to spend the first morning buying basic cleaning supplies. The pack contained coffee and tea (not much else) but no milk in the fridge so you couldn't even make a drink on arrival. Never, never had that experience before. Property is actually part of a large rental complex, but only this one is available via Rural Retreats. Our impression was the owner is an absentee landlord so there is no-one to talk to other than RR Office. Much better to rent a property where the owner is nearby - they always care much more about providing a good service. Photograph does not show that something was demolished to make way for the complex and that you also overlook an old car park with an old, abandoned oil tank in it and surplus rubble/soil. Other RR properties provide a much higher standard of customer service, so we won't be back. On a practical note, a major redevelopment of a stretch of the A30 has been going on for at least 2 years and is not due to finish until Dec. 2023. This results in major traffic jams at the St Agnes roundabout. It was bad enough in October I wish everyone luck for July/August.
