Guests say

Hartriza is a well-presented and spacious cottage in St Austell, praised for its modern amenities and ample bathrooms. Its central location is ideal for exploring Cornwall, and it comes with the convenience of parking. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the extensive DVD collection, making it a comfortable stay for visitors.

The property generally received positive remarks on cleanliness, but there were instances of oversight such as unclean toilets and presence of hair and sand, which suggests room for improvement.

The location is central for visiting various places in Cornwall and is close to the town centre. The narrow street access is noted, but ample turning space and parking are appreciated.

The property is described as bright and spacious, offering a comfortable stay. However, the lack of curtains and the early morning light in the bedrooms have been a minor discomfort for some guests.

Facilities like the well-equipped kitchen and DVD collection are highlights, but issues with the TV remote, lack of smart TV, and weak WiFi signal detract from the overall experience. Additionally, the need for more crockery and coat hooks has been mentioned.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner, hence this category cannot be scored.

This is a nice place to stay. Bright, spacious, with plenty of equipment in the kitchen and still room for your own food. As other people have reviewed the upstairs bedrooms need curtains especially in summer, I would recommend eye masks to anyone else stopping as you will be woken with the sun, it's worse than being in a tent. I would also suggest a bigger smart television that has a control that works, you have to stand up and get closer to the TV to get it to work and not being a smart TV meant scheduled programmes and the WiFi is not strong enough to stream from a smartphone, especially when you have two teenagers hogging the bandwidth. There is also no information on what to do with your recycling, we put it in the shed as the previous occupants had done, we tried ringing the owner to ask but the number was invalid, so we were also unable to contact them to let them know we had left early on the Thursday because of a family emergency. Additionally I don't know if the cleaner was having a bad day or not but the toilets were not clean, no toilet roll in the upstairs toilets. Long black hairs in the shower and what felt like sand all over the side tables. It was nice but could do better, needs tlc to make great property rather than good one.
