We had a truly wonderful stay and would absolutely return. The highlight for us was the beautiful enclosed garden, which meant our dogs could roam freely and safely without us having to worry. It made the holiday so much more relaxing. The setting is incredibly peaceful. All we could hear was birdsong, which made it feel like a real escape from everyday life. We made the most of the balcony during the day, taking in the amazing views, and in the evenings the wood burner made the cottage feel especially cosy.A real gem nearby is Vault Beach, which is absolutely gorgeous. Even during a bank holiday week it remained quiet, and it being dog friendly was a huge bonus for us.The EV charger at the property was also excellent and made everything very convenient. The only thing worth bearing in mind is that local amenities are limited, so you do need to drive to the shops, with the nearest being around 4 to 5 km away. There is a local pub, but it keeps rather unusual opening hours and dinner booking is essential, especially if you have dogs.Overall, this is the perfect place for a quiet, restful getaway, especially if you are travelling with dogs. Five stars from us.
