The location is appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions. The cottage's cleanliness and facilities receive commendation, though minor maintenance issues are noted. A welcome pack adds a thoughtful touch.

The cottage is generally very clean with pristine towels, though there are isolated comments about an unclean oven door and the need for more frequent towel changes.

The location is very well-received for its quietness, beautiful views, and accessibility to local attractions, though parking costs are noted.

The cottage is considered comfortable and well-stocked, but there are remarks about an overly warm temperature and a suggestion to change the mattress.

Facilities like the swimming pool and playpark are highlights, but there are comments on the lack of a toilet by the pool and a request for seating at the playpark, indicating room for improvement.

While a welcome pack is mentioned, which indicates thoughtfulness, there is not enough information to assess consistency or guarantee of such gestures, thus a score cannot be provided.

Tywardreath, which literally means "The House on the Strand," is a picturesque and historically significant Cornish settlement that may be found right in the middle of Daphne du Maurier country. St. Andrew's Church in the village is rumoured to boast the best peal of bells in the region, and the town itself is bustling thanks to its many great bars and stores. Multiple sandy beaches within easy driving distance of the area offer a wide range of watersports and recreational opportunities. To reach the small china clay port of Par, which has a dog-friendly sandy beach and a main line train station, you may walk there in fifteen minutes or drive there in five. A coastal restaurant, pub, and watersports centre can be found at Polkerris Beach, which is a half-hour walk or a quick 5-minute drive away. Fowey is a picturesque waterside community about three miles away, and from there you may do some breathtaking cliff treks to Gribbin Head, passing through much of the familiar area that inspired du Maurier's novels. Mevagissey and Charlestown harbours, the Eden Project, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are just a few of the family-friendly destinations in the region. Tywardreath is a picturesque village in South Cornwall, perfect for vacationing families and history buffs.

Looking a little tired overall but reflected in the price so an observation rather than a complaint. 2 important points. The underfloor central heating is set to 20 degrees and any attempt to increase temp is overridden. The property was very cold when we entered and went to bed almost fully clothed on the first night. The only way to get a comfortable temp of 21/22 is to use the log burner every day with the internal doors open to keep things warmer. I burnt a bag of logs every day so factor the cost into the holiday. Safety point, whilst the parking area is well lit the path to the property and the stone steps are not lit at all. I fell down the stone steps on the first evening. Take a torch with you.

The Cottage was spacious and comfortable for our family with all the facilities expected and incredibly clean and looked after. The swimming pool was amazing! The playpark was also an additional bonus. The only suggestion we can make is can there be a bench for adults to sit on at the play park? The property requests that children are supervised but there is nowhere to sit.

A great place to stay and an ideal base to explore Cornwall. We went to the New Inn pub in Tywardreath most nights for a drink, just a couple of miles down the road but narrow lanes so be careful otherwise no problems at all, a very pleasant stay.
