About this property

Cormorant Cottage is a stunning abode set in the heart of the beautiful St Ives, paces from the picturesque harbour, beach, restaurants, galleries and boutiques. This tastefully-presented haven offers accommodation for up to six guests in three bedrooms; ideal for families, friends and couples, it makes the most fabulous base. From the little lane, head up the stone steps to the front private patio with bistro table and chairs. Step inside to find a sitting room with plush sofas - a lovely nook for relaxation, whilst the kitchen/dining room makes a perfect social space for foody gatherings around the dining table, where the cook can prepare feasts in the fully-equipped kitchen.

The ground floor has one of the three shower rooms, handy for washing those sandy toes after a fun day on the beach. Head up to the first floor, with two welcoming double bedrooms, one with ensuite shower facilities. The third bedroom is perfect for the children, with 3’ bunks. The separate shower room ensures generous wash facilities for the whole group. The little patio with a bistro set for two creates an inviting spot for that morning latte or sundowner tipple. Step into the hub of St Ives, with characterful lanes lined with independent boutiques, galleries, cafes and restaurants serving both local produce and international cuisine.

The pubs, pasty shops and ice cream parlours will also tempt you! Visit Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. With four stunning beaches, choose your spot for water sports and surf lessons, swimming, fishing trips and leisure boat excursions. Beautiful Carbis Bay Beach is within a short walk along the South West Coast Path, framing far-reaching sea views around the bay to Godrevy Lighthouse. The coastal train ride from St Erth to St Ives is a super scenic adventure, with spectacular views hugging the pretty coastline past Hayle Towans and Carbis Bay. With adventures and attractions for all the family, come stay at Cormorant Cottage.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!

A stones throw away from the harbour, the shops and 5 mins walk to two different beaches. A cute little cottage on a cobblestone passage. There were 3 adults and two teenage boys and we were comfortable. It’s small but it was perfect for us all, with a comfortable kitchen seating and a separate lounge room. Very quick communication with the owners when I didn’t know what to do. Would recommend.
