No smoking. Please note: No children.. Set to the rear of the owner’s house, this detached holiday apartment has the added bonus of a spacious area that leads directly off the living room. An enclosed courtyard garden adds to the appeal. The village of Tywardreath immortalised in a novel by Daphne Du Maurier who lived locally, is a hidden gem, deep in the Cornish countryside but only minutes from sandy beaches, cliff-top walks and picturesque fishing villages. With its award-winning local shops and pub, the village is a perfect spot in which to relax yet central enough to tour this stunning county. The Eden Project and many National Trust houses and gardens are all easily reached either by foot, bike or car. There are opportunities for deep sea fishing, river kayaking, sailing and surfing all nearby. Just a short stroll brings you to Par station so the chance to explore Cornwall by train is also possible, enabling you to leave the car for a while. Carlyon Bay Golf Club is close and the hotel has a spa for those who enjoy being pampered. The sailing town of Fowey with its narrow café-lined streets boasts a royal yacht club and annual cultural festival. Horse riding, woodland walks and off road cycling are all available at nearby Lanhydrock House. Beach 1/2 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

The heated pool was the thing that led me to book this property and I used it every day. It is purpose built with accommodation attached, just behind the owners house. The accommodation was quite small but as I was on my own it was fine. It was well equipped, with good wi-fi and a comfy bed. The village pub was within easy walking distance and served good food. The property is well situated to explore the St Austell/Fowey side of Cornwall and only a 15 minute drive to The Eden Centre.

Lovely stay at pool house. Small but comfortable and cosy, ideal for couples wanting a relaxing holiday. Dog friendly. Nice to have the sole use of the good sized pool every day. Within walking distance of beach and train station 10 mins away with access to many other places in Cornwall. Very welcoming pub in village, great meals and Dog friendly. Great village butchers and grocery store. The owner Donna was only a phone call away if anything was needed. Only downside was internet connection was not great.

The Pool House was very well equipped and well located in a village with great facilities. The pool was a new feature for us and we did get a fair bit of use from it. It is a good size and depth. Owners were very good at communicating and this made the stay so much easier. Overall very enjoyable stay and all we could have wished for.
