Guests say

Guests have enjoyed their stays at Hillview, praising its fabulous location with gorgeous views and proximity to the beach. The property offers comfortable furnishings and useful facilities like an extra fridge/freezer and washing machine. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness points were raised, the overall experience was positive, with special mentions of the lovely views and wildlife.

The property was generally found to be clean, though some guests noted areas for improvement such as grubby front windows and the need for more thorough cleaning of kitchen items by previous visitors.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach and the lovely views it offers, despite being a bit tricky to find initially.

Guests found the property comfortable, with soft beds and cosy sofas. However, some mentioned that the blinds did not effectively block out light, affecting their comfort.

The facilities were appreciated, including the extra fridge/freezer and exercise bike. Some maintenance issues like a broken wardrobe hinge and a missing nut on a lounger chair were noted.

While guests appreciated the presence of kitchen staples and games, there were no specific mentions of gifts, so it is not possible to assess thoughtfulness in terms of gifts provided.

Loved the vibrant 60’s carpets on living room and bedroom floors! Haha. Always really appreciate when there are some kitchen staples in the cupboards. A really efficient washing machine and dryer. Great views and a good walk up the hill from the beach to burn off the pasties!

The house was perfect for us, plenty of space, comfortable and only five minutes walk to the beach. The only thing we struggled with was hot water for the shower didn’t last long so if we all wanted to shower after the beach, half the family had cold showers. The views from the house are great… brace yourselves for the steep walk up to the house, def a workout!

The location is great: just uphill from the beach, with the ability to check the surf from the main bedroom and living room. Sofas were comfy and the shower was good. The outside tap and garage were useful for beach gear and we loved the bunnies on the lawn each day. There was no washing up liquid. Not a problem for us as we brought our own, but it seemed like the previous visitors had not left some kitchen items that clean as a result. A few things would benefit from some updating but for the price we paid we didn't mind.
