Guests say

Clock Cottage in Seaton offers a tranquil rural retreat with a snooker table and unique features, set close to the Jurassic Coast. Guests appreciate the spacious, well-equipped accommodation and the proximity to charming villages and beaches. While some minor concerns were raised, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a beautiful part of the country.

There is insufficient information in the reviews to assess the cleanliness of the property, as no specific comments were made on this aspect.

The location is highly praised for its rural charm and proximity to the Jurassic Coast, with nearby villages and beaches such as Branscombe and Beer. The challenging access track is a minor drawback.

The cottage is described as roomy and well-equipped, providing a comfortable base for relaxation. However, the mention of small, thin towels and a staircase with a bend suggests some room for improvement in comfort.

Facilities like a snooker table are a highlight, but guests noted a lack of kitchen equipment and concerns about maintenance. The presence of a submarine is intriguing, though not elaborated upon.

While guests felt welcome and enjoyed their stay, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it cannot be scored.

Get over the 1 mile farm track from the main road to the cottage, and the small, thin towels and those woukd be the only very minor grips about this cottage. Once your car's suspension has gone through a thorough test, what is wsiting for you is truly fantastic. Brilliant accommodation in a lovely very rural location. Don't let no mains water or a staircase with a bend in it put you off what you do get is a snooker table & a submarine!!! With the Jurassick Coast on your doorstep (Lyme Regis, Seaton & it's trams, Beer and Sidmouth) what's not to like.

Had a nice holiday but...more kitchen equipment needed. Also I found it very unusual that we had to strip the beds before leaving and when I discovered that the owner was entering the property when we were out, I found this extremely intrusive. I left a dog poo on the grass as it was at the top of a slope and very slippy. I was told on my return to pick it up (which I fully intended to). The only way she would know that is by coming through the gate and searching. I was asked why I was using the upstairs bedroom, why we needed a 3 bed house and who had been baking in the kitchen etc... She had obviously been in the house several times...We felt that our privacy had been invaded.

This is a beautiful part of the country. The cottage itself is roomy, well equipped and located in a beautiful quiet valley. Ideal as a base to chill out after a day out at the beach or visiting any of the lovely little villages around. We had a little under a week here but were able to relax and unwind with ease, perfect for us and thoroughly enjoyed. Branscombe and Beer are both worth a visit and have good places to eat. The kids loved it, would recommend.
