The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with quality tableware and cookware which made the preparation and eating of meals a pleasant experience. The beds were really comfy and warm and both the en suite and downstairs bathroom were perfectly clean and with good showers. There was milk in the fridge and a delicious cake on arrival which was most welcome. Madeline, the housekeeper was available by phone if we had any problems, but aside from a some advice re operating the TV (failing on our part) we didn't need to disturb her. Rookwood is located in a quiet village and we unfortunately missed the opening of the new village pub by a couple of days. I'm sure future guests will enjoy a drink or two there now it's up and running. We would definitely recommend Rookwood without hesitation.
