Guests say

The Shed With A View receives high praise for its peaceful rural setting, stunning views, and welcoming hosts. Guests consistently mention the immaculate cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable bed. The property is ideal for those seeking a relaxing escape, with wildlife and countryside walks nearby. While access via a narrow lane is noted, most found it manageable. The secure garden is appreciated by dog owners. Occasional minor maintenance points are mentioned, but overall, guests leave feeling refreshed and eager to return.

Cleanliness is frequently highlighted, with multiple guests describing the property as 'immaculately clean', 'spotlessly clean', and 'very clean'. Only one review mentions towels being rough, but this is a minor point compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The tranquil countryside location and beautiful views are major positives. The rural setting is appreciated for its peace and wildlife, though the narrow access lane is mentioned as a challenge by some. Most guests found the seclusion a benefit, with only a few noting the need for a car and distance from shops.

Guests consistently praise the comfort of the bed and the spacious, cosy interior. The property is described as warm, bright, and airy. A couple of minor comments about heat on sunny days and patio door ease, but overall comfort is rated very highly.

The cottage is well-equipped with modern appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, and a well-stocked kitchen. Guests appreciate the secure garden, books, games, and jigsaws. Minor suggestions include recliners for the outside space and some maintenance on patio doors and towels.

The hosts are repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, often providing local information. Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as homemade scones or cream tea and fresh produce; however, please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Such a lovely place to get away from it all. Lovely views and the dawn chorus was stunning. The Shed was well equipped (could have done with some kitchen tongs). The cupboard full of books, jigsaws and magazines was a great addition. Take everything you need with you as no nearby shops but we were well prepared for that. We also spent a lovely afternoon with locals at The Cadeleigh Arms. Quite a walk up the hill but some lovely countryside. Also good local place for a dog walk is Shobrooke Park which is a 10min drive away.

Shed with a View is spacious, warm & cosy in a peaceful location overlooking fields - great for watching wildlife. Sheila the owner is lovely, really friendly & helpful - she made us a very nice cream tea to order! We had a great, relaxing holiday, thank you 😊
