We had a fantastic stay. We really liked the welcome message and goodies for arrival. House and parking instructions spot on. The house is well equipped and very clean. The attention to detail and everything little thing has been thought of. We cooked most nights and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. The house is very spacious, comfortable beds and the bedding smelt fresh. Plenty of hot water. It is a beautiful friendly village. Recommend the pottery and bakery too. Totally recommend.

This is an old house but very well appointed inside with modern features and appliances. The house has under floor heating so was never cold inside. There was a problem with the induction hob but it was quickly sorted and Craig and Victoria could not have been more helpful.Our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable.Chulmleigh is a small town with few shops but essentials are available. It is central to Devon but access in and out town can be a problem because a few roads are single track so be prepared to back-up in places.

Really lovely unique house,with spacious rooms. Comfortable beds.Fully equipped kitchen and lovely big dining table. Lots of thoughtful touches like tea,coffee,butter,bread (some treats) left for you to make it easier if you arrive late.Two of the large bedrooms had wonderful ensuites,and the one bedroom that doesn't has a bathroom just outside so we all had our own which is great if you are travelling with teenagers.My two teen boys loved the fact that there is a bedroom on each floor so they had their own space. We had no problem parking just outside the back courtyard garden. So just used the back gate as our entrance for our week there.Really recommend this characterful,spacious house and would definitely return.The little village of Chulmleigh is cute. People were very friendly. There is not much there,little convenience shop that sells most things. A charity shop,2 little pubs. We went into the old court house pub just accross the road which was a tiny little traditional pub but so friendly and welcoming.The house made a good base for travelling,we had family in Okehampton which only took about 30 minutes to get to.
