This characterful cottage nestles in the middle of a row of three cottages in the very popular coastal village of Croyde. What better way to unwind after a hard day’s beachcombing, walking or family activities than to sit and relax in this comfortable property which has the added bonus of being very close to the centre of the village, where the beach path winds its way down through the dunes to the golden sands and ocean surf of Croyde Bay. Surrounded by eye-catching countryside, this property is ideal for families, equally perfect for couples, and is a welcoming home from home after a busy day exploring this wonderful area.
The heart of this property is the open-plan living area with slate flooring throughout which is complemented at one end with two comfy sofas and TV and the kitchen/dining area situated at the other end meaning that the chef of the group can always have company. An attractive twin bedroom (the beds can be converted to a king on request) is also situated on the ground floor together with a spacious shower room. A staircase leads to a second, very spacious king-size bedroom with sloping ceilings and views over the surrounding countryside from the Velux-style windows. The bedroom has plenty of space for a sofa and TV, complete with a PlayStation 2 games console and games, ideal for the kids after a busy day's activities out in the fresh air. There is also a good size en-suite bathroom. The cottage has an attractive gravelled and flagstone courtyard seating area at the front, which makes an ideal spot for drinks and watching the sun draw down on a balmy summer's evening. A shared front pathway runs a little way from the front door, giving access to the neighbouring property through a gate.
Croyde offers you plenty as a holiday destination with its renowned surfing beach, plus a great selection of pubs and restaurants, all set in a picturesque village. If you don’t fancy cooking, then why not pop to the Manor House Inn which is a couple of hundred metres away for a great atmosphere and good food. If you want to venture further afield, a stroll (approx. 1 mile) along the nearby bridleway leads to Putsborough Beach, which has the benefit of far-reaching cliff views and year-round, dog-friendly access.
