Note: The owners do have Wi-fi in the cottages, however being in a secluded spot, the wi-fi speed is much slower, which means streaming etc can be difficult Sending and receiving emails and messages is fine as well as internet browsing They are continuously investing in top of the range boosters to improve this but sometimes guests may experience intermittency This is beyond their control.

The bedroom is so small there are no bedside tables or lamps leaving only glaringly bright ceiling lights. The bathroom is so small you almost have to stand in the shower to close the door. The kitchen and bathroom haven't been upgraded since the 1990's and the finish is poor. This is the first property we have stayed in that had absolutely nothing in the way of provisions. Most owners provide a few teabags, a couple of sachets of coffee and a tiny bottle of milk and perhaps a spare toilet roll but this one provided four dog biscuits! We left three days early as I don't expect to be more stressed after a holiday. If you are looking for a charming cottage packed with home comforts think again. This is to self catering what Bear Grylls is to glamping! And if you do decide to stay here bring a sense of humour and some teabags.... you'll need both!
