This penthouse apartment looks towards the sea and is just a short walk from the amenities of Ilfracombe in North Devon. Perfect for a traditional seaside holiday with friends or family. Sitting on the top floor of the Oceanside Apartments, you will be delighted with the awe-striking views of the ocean. The open-plan living area, with its modern kitchen, is bright and comfortable, perfect for the family to spend some quality time together. An open tread staircase climbs to a handy mezzanine area, ideal for relaxing with a good book. Open up the balcony doors and enjoy a breath of fresh sea air, with the wonderful views, it's the perfect spot for your morning coffee. The two bedrooms are comfortably presented with the double room benefiting from an en-suite shower room whilst the twin has an en-suite bathroom. There is a lift, or stairs which access the third floor. A popular Victorian seaside resort, Ilfracombe retains many of these historic influences both in its architecture and its atmosphere, and is now a vibrant, modern destination with a good selection of shops, cafés, and restaurants to suit every taste. A visit to the Tunnels Beaches is an absolute must and the beautiful miles of golden sands at Woolacombe is a fabulous day out for playing and relaxing. Walkers will adore the coastal path which is practically on your doorstep, or take a trip to the amazing Exmoor National Park with its rolling fields, hidden valleys and its tucked away country pub/restaurants. For a holiday with the sea on your doorstep, this is an ideal choice for a family or couple.

Ilfracombe lies in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on a beautiful stretch of North Devon coastline, with the hand carved Tunnels Beaches and a pretty harbour now famous for the Damien Hirst bronze statue ‘Verity’ that stands guard over the entrance. Once a Victorian retreat. the town is now a vibrant and popular resort with a fine variety of restaurants, cafes and shops in the town. Full of Victorian charm.

    The lift is an advertised amenity of this flat. A complaint was made to Sykes but there was no response or refund.The lack of lift had a significant negative impact on our enjoyment of the accomodation.

    Not taken from where the property is. Taken from the opposite side of the harbour. That said the view from the rear is excellent. The lift is out of order we were not notified of this until a few days before the holiday. There was no attempt to repair the lift whist there. Speaking to persons in the block it has been out of order for some time. Asked the maintenance team, told it was down to management. Emailed Sykes cottages a week before the holiday no reply. Obviously in the too hard to do draw. 3 flights of 15 steps not for unfit people. Clive @ Dewsbury.

    I found broken glass in the drainer with my finger. My wife could not use the hot tap in the front on-suite because it was so stiff. You could not leave the windows open in the #2 bedroom because the beds were directly under them. The bed light in #2 bedroom had no power to it and there was no clock. The kitchen was better but there was only one egg cup and no egg timer. The kitchen drawer did not shut properly, neither did the fridge door. The whole flat had an air of being run down, there are marks all over the walls. There are no drying facilities and to cap it all the TV was absolutly out of the Ark. Personally I regret staying there and how it can ever be described as "Dog Friendly" is beyond us.
