Guests say

Durcombe Water Annexe receives high praise for its immaculate cleanliness, peaceful and scenic setting, and well-equipped, comfortable accommodation. Guests appreciate the friendly yet unobtrusive hosts and the property's suitability for walkers and dog owners. The garden and views are frequently mentioned as highlights. While the remote location and narrow access road are noted, most guests found these minor compared to the overall experience. Occasional small issues, such as flies or the size of the space for some, were mentioned but did not detract from the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with multiple guests describing the property as spotless, immaculate, and very clean. Only one review mentioned a minor issue with the shower cubicle needing mould spray, but this was an exception among overwhelmingly positive comments.

The location is praised for its tranquillity, beautiful countryside, and proximity to walking routes and Exmoor. Some guests mention the remote setting and narrow access road as challenging, but most found the peacefulness and scenery to be well worth it.

Guests frequently describe the annexe as comfortable, cosy, and warm, with a good bed and relaxing atmosphere. A few found the space a little tight for more than one person and a dog, but overall comfort is a strong point.

The property is described as well-equipped, with a working kitchen, powerful shower, washing machine, and private garden. Facilities are well maintained and cater for both short and longer stays, with only minor suggestions for improvement.

Hosts are repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming, and helpful without being intrusive. Some guests mention thoughtful touches such as snacks on arrival, but please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Fantastic location and the property was excellent, exceptionally clean and comfortable

We had a lovely short break at Durcombe Water Annexe. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Great location for the coast and walks. The only downside was the property is a 2 mile drive up a narrow road. A bit of a trek to the nearest shop and pub. These are small things and didn't spoil our enjoyment.
