It is very good to know we did not have to contact her during the stay. The property is a lovely barn conversation and is in great condition and tastefully decorated. The internal doors are old reclaimed solid wood and give it more character, very nice. We found we had everything we needed for our stay. Shower nice. Towels nice, big and good. Bed very comfortable with quality linen. Outside there was a table and chairs, nice to sit in the lovely sun trap. Overall, the barn is very quiet and peaceful. Only heard transport noise a few times. There is a pub, the Dolphin within a mile from the barn but be warned it is not an easy walk, down a very steep hill and parking is limited. If you want a short drive then there is another pub, just a 5-minute drive away in Yealmpton, the Rose and Crown, excellent food. In the village there is a café/delicatessen called The Green easer to walk to from the barn with friendly staff and good food. Nothing to complain about at all, a lovely peaceful property in a quite rural village, highly recommend for a peaceful stay away from it all.

Quiet and comfortable with a charming outside space. Very pretty little tidal creeks with some nice places to eat, we had a tasty Sunday roast in the Ship overlooking the water. EV charging at the property was very convenient. Be sure to get the Pilchard Inn at Burgh Island for great food with stunning views. Carrie was a very pleasant host, always helpful.

A good centre to enjoy the lovely surroundings. An enjoyable break to charge lifeâs batteries. It certainly did!
