Dating back to 14th century medieval times, Laurel Cottage is Grade II listed and retains much of its olde worlde charm with a pretty interior with rugs on the oak effect tiled floor in the living room and a twin bedroom with Victorian brass bedsteads and cottage-style garden front and rear. The village has 2 pubs,a riverside bistro,a very good village stores and a photographic art gallery.Just 4 miles from many golden sandy beaches of the English Riviera, and seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton, Goodrington and Brixham. Historic Totnes, 4 miles, has an abundance of independent shops, bistros, health food shops and farmers market. Dartmouth, nestling on the River Dart, is 9 miles by road and small ferry across the river.

What a wonderful cottage and location! Beautifully kitted out in the heart of the village which has 2 fantastic pubs, a local Post Office and convenience store, a restaurant and a Riverside eatery. The cottage is perfectly located for all of these facilities but the crowning glory is that it's only 200 yards from The Millpond, The River Dart, a causeway at low tide to walk into woodland walks and back along the 'beachside' riverside whilst opening up fully to the River Dart, which is stunning! The River Shack is fantastic as it sits right by the waterside and the vista is quite idyllic. We are definitely returning! We took our 2 dogs and it was perfect!
