For dog lovers, a dog-friendly pub 5 minutes’ walk away, and a dog-friendly coffee shop and local store are 10 minutes’ walk. The property is gated and lies within a 2-acre setting with lovely views, and a footpath outside the gates takes you around the area. The owner also a qualified dog trainer and behaviourist and can advise on any dog issues.
There are many golf courses close by and plentiful good walking. With easy access to both the rugged moors and the serene seaside, you can embark on invigorating hikes across the moorlands, taking in the panoramic vistas, or opt for soothing beach walks along the coastline. The English Riviera is about 15 to 20 minutes’ drive away, and Exeter is about 12 miles.

Had the most relaxing and enjoyable time at the Follys 1. Katie was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, even coming to the rescue of our roast dinner with gravy granules which we had forgotten. Accommodation was set in peaceful grounds spotlessly clean and kitchen stocked with everything you could need. Welcome pack was also much appreciated. Our dog also had a fab time with plenty of space to zoom around outside in a safe environment. Would definitely recommend a stay to anyone looking to stay in this part of Devon. Local village pub was also great with really lovely food and friendly locals.We enjoyed it so much we have already booked to stay again in March.Best place we have stayed in for a long time.

A wonderful, peaceful setting where dogs can run free in a secure communal area. The accommodation was warm and cozy with a well fitted out kitchen, lovely bathroom and a four-poster bed in the spacious bedroom. The local amenities were a short drive away and provided everything needed for a home-from-home holiday. The surrounding countryside provided plenty of dog walks and places to visit. The owner was available if anything else was needed and to provide some useful dog training tips!! We will certainly return for another visit as soon as we can!

Such a lovely relaxing holiday! Katy the owner was lovely and helpful gave us some tips to help with my little frenchie! Location is great! My frenchie loved running around the grounds outside the lodge! The lodge had everything you needed! Will definitely return!!
