For dog lovers, a dog-friendly pub 5 minutes’ walk away, and a dog-friendly coffee shop and local store are 10 minutes’ walk. The property is gated and lies within a 2-acre setting with lovely views, and a footpath outside the gates takes you around the area. The owner also a qualified dog trainer and behaviourist and can advise on any dog issues.
There are many golf courses close by and plentiful good walking. With easy access to both the rugged moors and the serene seaside, you can embark on invigorating hikes across the moorlands, taking in the panoramic vistas, or opt for soothing beach walks along the coastline. The English Riviera is about 15 to 20 minutes’ drive away, and Exeter is about 12 miles.

Lovely accommodation, owner is on site and always happy to help. Lovely well maintained grounds, gated secure site. Dogs are welcomed, medium bed supplied but mine is a German shepherd so not fit.Short steep walk down into village, not many amenities but great pub which has restaurant with great food, welcoming, friendly staff too. Small cafe with pottery craft painting, good home made food with friendly staff.Newton Abbot short drive away.Great location for the English Riviera & Torbay.

Lovely accommodation well off the beaten track but close enough to Newton Abbot (1 mile). Great size rooms in the accomodation. Amazing garden with plenty of room for our dog (or several) to roam.The owner was friendly and helpful.Only minor negatives were: bathroom towels were a bit small and not very absorbent, there was no handrail in the shower and no cereal bowls only soup plates.There were some lovely touches for our arrival: milk, tea and coffee and sweet treats in the kitchen -amazing and very helpful after a lengthy journey.
