Silver cottage is situated just around the corner from Dartmouth’s main town centre with access to the beautiful river Dart and the array of restaurants and shops this wonderful town has to offer.
As you enter Silver cottage through the front door with beautiful flower manger, guests find themselves in the open plan downstairs area comprising of living/dining and kitchen area. This quaint and cosy area is inviting and feels like a home away from home. The kitchen is fully equipped with all that guests could need and also boasts a breakfast bar area to sit at and enjoy that early morning coffee or late-night glass of wine. Upstairs leads to the family bathroom with shower over bath, as well as a washing machine. The bedroom contains a kingsize bed and benefits from storage space.
There is so much to do and see in and around Dartmouth, whether you are a keen boating enthusiast or want to enjoy the historical gardens of Coleton Fishacre. The family friendly adventure park of Woodlands is a short drive away, as is Dartmouth golf club and spa. Whether visiting Dartmouth solely or enjoying the nearby towns of the South Hams in addition, Silver Cottage is a great place to start.

Just returned from a lovely stay. The cottage was quaint, cosy and spotlessly clean and welcoming. It is extremely well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Very dog friendly too. It's location is ideal, in a little pedestrian only lane and only a short stroll from the main town area , meaning no hills or flights of steps to negotiate, perfect for me as I have walking difficulties. There is no outside space/garden at the cottage, but being so close to the front and some lovely park gardens, this wasn't a big issue. Only two cons really...the cottage overlooks the M&S Foodhall, and we were woken at 7am each day by the loud noise of a huge HGV and the banging of roller trolleys and trays being delivered to the store. (fine if you're an early riser).Also, parking in Dartmouth generally seems very restricted. Street parking from 1/5 until the (end?) Oct is limited to 2 hours and spaces are clearly at a premium. Nearby Mayor's car park is only 4 hours in daytime. Park and ride is seasonal, and was not due to start until May half term, so not operating when we visited. I would therefore recommend, as we did, arranging offsite parking before you arrive if the park a ride is not open. We did this, and so glad we did. There are regular buses to hop on to come back into the town. We were able to drop off our belongings at the cottage beforehand by parking at the top of the lane briefly, as instructions. All in all we had a wonderful stay at Silver Cottage. Thank you.

Excellent location close to the M&S for supplies, George and Dragon just around the corner and all the Dartmouth shops! Quiet and well presented spotlessly clean cottage! Everything was well in walking distance!

Another visit to Silver Cottage. As before the place was spotless and in a very convenient place as I don't have a car and use public transport everywhere. I was pleased that the washing machine now has a 1400 spin speed which means jeans don't take so long to dry, there being no outside space to dry clothes. As I travel by public transport there is only so much clothing I can bring and a washer/dryer is normally a necessity. Even though the one in the cottage is just a washing machine it is much better with the higher spin speed. A lovely box of M&S chocolate covered biscuits was left which was a nice touch - much appreciated.
