The first floor’s family bathroom is large enough for everyone and two nearby bedrooms - a king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom - are spacious areas offering ample storage and the perfect hideaway for long lie-ins. Morning coffees can be enjoyed on the decked area at the front of the cottage or the enclosed garden to the rear, an area shared with the cottage’s owners and their very tame chickens.

Numerous riverbank and woodland footpaths fork off from Yarnscombe (100 metres), taking in remarkable scenery along the way. Numerous villages and towns including Newton Tracey, Torrington and Bideford can be found within 10 miles of the cottage, each one offering a Devonian welcome with plenty of local produce, historic sites and winding streets to explore. The village of Westward Ho! (12 miles) has one of the most popular beaches in North Devon and is a mecca for water sports lovers.
