This detached holiday property, tucked away down a country lane and a few paces away from the owners’ home, is set on the outskirts of the village of Brentor (1 mile), which is situated within the Dartmoor National Park. This cosy barn conversion is ideal for a couple who want to ’get away from it all’, and who love the great outdoors, with open moorland ¼ mile. There are fabulous walks nearby, including the iconic landmark of the tiny church of St. Michael; perched high on the rocky tor outcrop just outside the village. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

My wife and I had a great holiday at the Smithy, we were really happy with the accommodation and friendly owners. The perfect place for peace and quiet. Very close to the moors for walking our dog. A lot to see and do nearby. Many thanks to Sally and Chris, we will definitely be back, thank you.

A lovely, cosy cottage ideally located to explore Dartmoor. The cream tea was very welcome and the extensive gardens a tranquil spot to retreat after a day on the moors. Well equipped with everything you would need. The bed was especially comfy. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at the Smithy. The Smithy was easy to find and not too far from Tavistock. We visited a number of local National Trust sites. The owners were welcoming and left a lovely cream tea. The kitchen had everything you need to self cater. We would stay again as there is a lot to see and do in the area.
