The busy Poole is a ferry ride away with famous Brownsea Island, numerous beaches and heathland. If you want to explore a bit further, Swanage and Wareham with stunning Corfe Castle are only a short drive away. Or you can take a walk across beautiful Dorset countryside and take a bus ride home.
You may take a steam train to Corfe Castle from Swanage with beautiful scenery along the journey. It’s one of the favourite attractions for children too.
Kimmeridge bay, Lulworth Cove and stunning arc of Durdle Door are a short drive away too.

On a peninsula in the Isle of Purbeck, close to Corfe Castle and Swanage, is a tiny village called Studland. The village marks the beginning of the 630-mile South West Coast Path, which runs from Minehead in Somerset all the way to Poole Harbour, where the chain ferry crosses the harbour's mouth. The National Trust, which manages Studland, is renowned for its long, sandy beaches, which offer watersports amenities and nearby riding stables on the shore during specific times of the year. There are a number of restaurants in the hamlet, such as The Bankes Arms or The Pig on the Beach next to South Beach, as well as the National Trust café on Knoll Beach. While there are frequent bus services from the town core and beaches that travel to Sandbanks and further on to Bournemouth, the Sandbanks chain ferry is the quickest method to visit the seaside resorts of Poole and Bournemouth.

The cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable and warm . The only down side is the hot water boiler in the bedroom turning on during the night as it wakes you up . The tiled floor in the kitchen needs redoing as it is cracked and moves. We found ourselves treading lightly around the edge of the kitchen to avoid this area . Would we stay here again, it would definitely be a yes!

Close to the beach, secure garden and many interesting places to visit nearby and within an hours drive. Apart from the cottage being everything we needed we found the neighbours friendly and welcoming. I would be happy to return to this cottage and highly recommend.
