This detached bungalow is situated on a no-through road in the popular hamlet of Shitterton, on the edge of Bere Regis. It is the ideal base to explore the world famous Jurassic Coast and wide range of attractions Dorset has to offer. Stepping into Millbrook, you are welcomed in via a large hallway and separate toilet with space to hang up the coats and muddy boots after exploring the countryside. The property has two super king size bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. There is also a family shower room with a walk-in shower and underfloor heating. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. The living room is at the rear of the property and is the perfect place to either relax in front of the Smart TV or sit with views out towards the rear garden enjoying a book. The dining room is set up for four people. Outside, the garden is mainly laid to lawn with patio area to catch the summer sun or enjoy a night under the uninterrupted night sky.
For the walkers among us, you do not have to go far to find the perfect location. May’s Wood is approximately 5 minutes away and is a place of natural beauty which has been designed for locals to enjoy the relaxing walks among the woodlands and open green land. Further afield you can take a walk along the coastline where you will find landmarks like Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. This is one trip where you do not want to forget the camera. If you are looking to venture further afield you can visit the historic town of Dorchester, where you will find local restaurants, pubs, shops, and museums. Poole Harbour is approximately a 25-minute drive. This is the second largest natural harbour in the world and home to the famous Brownsea Island where you need to keep an eye out for the red squirrels. Regular pleasure boat trips are offered around the harbour and to Brownsea Island. Back at the property Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum are just minutes away, and local attractions such as Sculpture by the Lakes are a beautiful day out where you can either relax around the lakes or explore the stunning gardens.

We had an absolutely marvellous stay at Millbrook and hope to be able to return someday. From the moment we arrived we knew it was something special as we discovered the best 'welcome pack' we'd come across. The house was spotless and full of fascinating objects. Art (with written descriptions of the works), books, maps and lovely objects abounded. Wi-fi was good (and secure) and the smart TV with Netflix set up was a real bonus. Kitchen applicances all warked well, the toaster was brand new, and were high quality along with cookware, crockery and cutlery. Parking was easy with room to turn on the drive, even for a large car.Location was ideal for exploring Dorset with places like Poole and Swanage less than half an hour away.Thank you, James and Sharon!

We found Millbrook to be a fantastic cottage with everything that you could want to find in a holiday cottage. A well equipped kitchen, a large, comfortable living room and beautiful dining room with a large table.The beds are very large and comfortable and the showers are powerful and well maintained. They look new.The garden is a very nice place to spend an afternoon and evening with a variety of wild birds visiting. Millbrook is on a very quiet road, just outside the small village. The village has several pubs, both doing food and a very convenient village store. We recommend Millbrook to anyone who wants comfort and relaxation when on their holiday.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed. Complimentary wine, biscuits and milk is a lovely thought.Good location for Monkey world and Wareham. Comfy beds and well equipped kitchen.Mostly ate in so that we could spend our money on trips out Would stay again
