This detached bungalow is situated on a no-through road in the popular hamlet of Shitterton, on the edge of Bere Regis. It is the ideal base to explore the world famous Jurassic Coast and wide range of attractions Dorset has to offer. Stepping into Millbrook, you are welcomed in via a large hallway and separate toilet with space to hang up the coats and muddy boots after exploring the countryside. The property has two super king size bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. There is also a family shower room with a walk-in shower and underfloor heating. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. The living room is at the rear of the property and is the perfect place to either relax in front of the Smart TV or sit with views out towards the rear garden enjoying a book. The dining room is set up for four people. Outside, the garden is mainly laid to lawn with patio area to catch the summer sun or enjoy a night under the uninterrupted night sky.
For the walkers among us, you do not have to go far to find the perfect location. May’s Wood is approximately 5 minutes away and is a place of natural beauty which has been designed for locals to enjoy the relaxing walks among the woodlands and open green land. Further afield you can take a walk along the coastline where you will find landmarks like Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. This is one trip where you do not want to forget the camera. If you are looking to venture further afield you can visit the historic town of Dorchester, where you will find local restaurants, pubs, shops, and museums. Poole Harbour is approximately a 25-minute drive. This is the second largest natural harbour in the world and home to the famous Brownsea Island where you need to keep an eye out for the red squirrels. Regular pleasure boat trips are offered around the harbour and to Brownsea Island. Back at the property Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum are just minutes away, and local attractions such as Sculpture by the Lakes are a beautiful day out where you can either relax around the lakes or explore the stunning gardens.

My wife and I take 4 or 5 holiday cottage breaks a year and Millbrook is probably one of the most comfortable and well equipped of them all. Would recommend it to anyone

Millbrook was a very welcoming place, offering everything you could need for your stay and with the local owner close by. It is a lovely village with walks on the doorstep and plenty of attractions a short distance away. I would highly recommend staying here.

A great accommodation with everything you could need. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Bungalow was clean, warm, welcoming and a great place to stay. The beds were very comfortable. The situation very quiet, but close to main roads to take you to the various places of interest in the vicinity. A great place to stay - lots of places of interest within 30 mins drive - Poole and RSPB Arne, Corfe Castle, the coastal areas in South Purbeck. We were two couples and having two kind sized beds was great.
