Guests say

Colly Cottage in Dorset receives positive feedback for its comfortable setting, welcoming hosts, and beautiful countryside location. Guests appreciate the peaceful farm-like environment, the proximity to local amenities, and the property's suitability for both relaxation and exploration. While some guests mention areas in need of improvement, the overall experience is one of a cosy and charming retreat with friendly owners.

The majority of guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with a few noting it could be cleaner in some areas, such as the kitchen and oven. Some mentioned cobwebs and dust, but this is somewhat expected in a rural cottage setting.

The location is highly praised for its stunning countryside views, peacefulness, and proximity to Bridport and local attractions. The rural setting on a working farm adds to the charm, although one guest noted the lack of mention of the farm in the listing.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. Some guests, however, felt the property was over-furnished, which impacted the comfort level of the living spaces.

Facilities are well-received, with mentions of a well-laid-out cottage and en-suite bedrooms. However, some guests feel that the property requires maintenance and a refresh in decoration, particularly in the kitchen area. The presence of animals and a tennis court are positive aspects for some.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to score this category. However, the hosts are consistently described as welcoming and helpful.

We had a couple of problems which were sorted immediately. It is set in glorious countryside with superb views within a beautiful garden setting. We loved it.

Everything lived up to its photos. We loved to see the farm animals from hens and geese to goats. The patio was a lovely sun trap.
