Fab holiday with a very ill Dad but the views and comfort really helped for the week. Two normal bathrooms but also a shower room which was a boon to our stay. Beautiful countryside and birds galore to observe. Would recommend to anyone.

We've just returned from a very enjoyable stay in the Barn at Smiths Farm Cottages. Just us two and our small Cockapoo but the place is really large inside - certainly enough space for a family. We chose it because it was dog friendly with an enclosed garden. Bonus: it has fantastic views over rolling hills. I loved sitting outside and listening to the varied bird song, while Arlo enjoyed sniffing about and listening out for the goose, sheep and horses. Another filter for us was onsite EV charging. The charger was conveniently right next to one of the two parking spaces for the Barn. Voltshare app using our own cable. Really simple. It is a steep hill down/up to the A35, but it's not a problem if you take it easy and get used to it. Although the Sainsbury's and meal box deliveries we had raced up it like it was a the easiest drive in Dorset! The layout is a bit strange with an ensuite bedroom at each end of the barn, connected by a small galley kitchen, a huge open plan dining/lounge area and a third bathroom with great walk-in shower in the middle of the barn. It's very well equipped - great for self-catering. Convenient location for Charmouth and Lyme Regis as well as some wonderful countryside walks.
