Guests say

The Smithy is a well-received cottage, praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches like welcome baskets. Set in beautiful countryside, it offers a cozy stay with charming animal neighbours and proximity to the Jurassic Coast. While some guests noted parking and access challenges, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented. However, a few mentioned issues such as thin towels and minor cleanliness oversights, slightly affecting the overall high standard noted by others.

The location is appreciated for its stunning views and proximity to the coast, though some guests raised concerns about the busy nearby road, lack of walking paths, and the steep, uneven access.

Guests consistently praised the comfort of the cottage, highlighting the cozy atmosphere and comfortable beds. The presence of a welcoming garden and the tranquility of the surrounding area contributed to the high comfort level.

The cottage is generally well-equipped, but some guests mentioned the need for maintenance, such as replacing fencing, pots, and pans, and improving the communal garden. These issues suggest room for improvement.

Many guests were delighted by the welcome baskets and treats for dogs, reflecting a high level of thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The Smithy was lovely and cosy. It was also surrounded by beautiful countryside and animals. It had everything we needed and the welcome basket was lovely! Everything was communicated clearly. We came to see the Lyme Regis Christmas lights switch...it was just a 10 minute drive, and Charmouth, where we love to fosil hunting, was also just 5 mins away. The Smithy is ideally place and idealic. We would definitely recommend... Thankyou for a lovely stay **

We had a lovely stay at The Smithy at Smiths Farm Cottages. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and for fosil hunting in nearby Lyme Regis and Charmouth. The cottage itself was clean and well presented with the homemade biscuits being a really nice touch.

We absolutely loved our stay! Our daughter was obsesed with the pirate bunk beds and the colour changing fire. The surroundings were stunning with some very charming furry neighbours. We are already planning our next stay!
