Guests say

Lavender Lodge is highly praised for its cleanliness, peaceful setting, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. The village of Charlton Horethorne offers a charming pub and shop, enhancing the location's appeal. Comfort levels are generally good, with a few remarks about bed firmness. Facilities are well-received, though some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted. The lodge's thoughtful gestures, such as providing tea and eggs, contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

Guests consistently describe the lodge as spotlessly clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness. The repeated commendation for the lodge's tidiness supports a near-perfect score.

The lodge's location in a picturesque village with convenient access to a local shop and pub is frequently commended. Its proximity to attractions and ease of access to surrounding areas contribute to a high score.

The lodge is generally considered comfortable and well-suited for guests, including those with pets. However, some guests found the double bed hard and the settees worn, which suggests room for improvement in this category.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the lodge being well-equipped for a self-catering holiday. Some guests missed having a dishwasher and suggested upgrades to the TV, which slightly affects the score.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of welcome packs and their accommodating nature. While such gestures are appreciated, it is noted that these are not guaranteed for every stay.

The lodge was beautiful, had excellent facilities and the added bonus of the fans made things a little cooler in the lodge. My only issue, and this is personal preference, is that the mattress in the main bedroom was too hard for us to sleep on. Otherwise everythjng was brilliant.

In the end there was just 2 of us but there's lots of room even for 4. We had super sunshine so it was nice to have an area to sit and soak up the sun. Sadly the double bed was bad for my back (its been mentioned before so maybe time for a change??). What i should have done is move into a single bed as my sleep was awful. We would come back but only if a new mattress was purchased. The local pub and shop were superb
