You can reach Portland Harbour and the untamed "Isle" of Portland, which is connected to Weymouth by the breathtaking Chesil Beach, after a little drive. Only 7 miles away is Thomas Hardy's "Casterbridge" in Dorchester. You may also travel the beautiful coastline route and stop at Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. It is really nice house with everything that you need. So close to walk into the centre of Weymouth, only a 10 min walk. I would highly recommend!

We found the house to be a good size for the three of us, (2 adults, 1 toddler) It was light and airy. Excellent location, only 10 min walk into town. Worth bearing in mind it's up a massive hill. We got a good work out each day! Only negatives, we found the parking to be a bit hit or miss, especially on the weekend. We were grateful for the child facilities but found the travel cot mattress to be way too small for the cot itself. We had to pad it out with towels and our baby didn't sleep very well. If wed have known we would have brought our own. Would also have loved the main space to be a bit more child proof. Socket covers would have been amazing, maybe a latch on the fire guard to stop it from being pulled down. Thanks for a good stay.

We parked our car on the day of arrival and didnât use it again until we were driving home. We walked everywhere all week as it was lovely sunny weather and found the Rodwell trail to Portland Harbour which was great. We would just like to raise that perhaps you could leave details of how to get to the town centre/beach from Owlâs Rest in your information folder. It was only a 10 minute walk and wasnât an issue for us as we had visited Weymouth on a number of occasions but if your guests are new to the area they may need guidance through the residential area. The location of Owlâs Rest was perfect and Iâm sure we will be back! Thank you.
