A spacious and unique cottage, converted from an old, Grade II Listed chapel and resting in the village of Ruspidge, just under two miles from Cinderford, Rainforest Chapel is a wonderful holiday home in Gloucestershire. Brightly lit thanks to several original chapel windows, decorated with Ercol furniture and enjoying high ceilings and a quirky style, Rainforest Chapel sleeps four guests in two bedrooms. Enter into the porch where there is space to hang your coats and store your boots after a day out, before heading through the charming chapel double doors and into the stunning open-plan living space. Original wooden floorboards offer a rustic feel, while the well-equipped contemporary kitchen with a stylish breakfast bar bring the property into the 21st century.
One step takes you up to the sitting area, with two snug armchairs set before the TV with games consoles and a feature fireplace, with a dining table and chairs behind. The ground-floor is home to the double bedroom as well as the excellent bathroom with mood lighting. Up on the mezzanine level, overlooking the open-plan living area, is the second bedroom, with two single beds, it’s a unique space to retreat to at the end of the day. The Rainforest Chapel is a grade 2 star listed building and is over 160 years old, thus there is a degree of charm and character that comes with living in such a unique dwelling that may not be suitable to all guests that may expect the very highest living standards of a new dwelling thus; the living room fire place is a 'feature' fireplace only for visual purposes.
Note: You might feel a chill or draft on 'very cold' days due to the original windows and solid walls.
Note: Cleaning to such a unique listed building with specific hard to reach areas including and not limited to ceilings, floors, walls and windows are restrictive.
Note: Due to the construction methods of this type of unique building the floor and stairs do creak when in use.
Note: There is one step up to the dining and sitting area and two steps to the ground floor bathroom.
Note: Bath is not usable and acts as the shower tray only.

Beautifully kept and the best walks all around with the Forest of Dean on the doorstep. The property is managed by the landlady of a local pub, who was very friendly. The meals at her pub were also amazing, so much so, that we ate there 3 times. Would recommend this beautiful holiday home and will return at some point

Amazing walks for the dog. The chapel has everything you need for a wonderful holiday . The gift basket was a lovely touch. Stuart the owner was a godsend and couldn't have been more helpful ,he made our holiday possible for me and my disabled husband . Thank you again
