This charming old school house is best suited to 1 or 2 people using the ground floor bedroom only. Access to the mezzanine is via a spiral staircase which might not suit everyone. The space is not relaxing due to a low beam the whole width of the room and no covering over window so you get borrowed light from downstairs bedroom plus if light on in mezzanine floods into downstairs bedroom. The bathrooms are very small. Ensuite is a shower attachment in bath not a shower over bath. Main bathroom is challenging moving around and drying yourself. Well equipped kitchen with all you should need. Lounge is a nice room but sofas are annoying as the cushions slip forward all the time and you get a stiff neck as positioned so near TV (everything is really high up in this house: mirrors, tv). We sat in folly a few times but best for dining as you cannot stretch out as circular furniture and you can see and hear the owners. The entrance and exit is tight and you need to be confident reversing out into a busy road. So to summarise - nice accommodation for couple using ground floor bedroom only who don't mind small bathroom. With a few tweaks this would go from a 'B' to an 'A'.

Fred & Fran Sellers (29/05/26 - 05/06/26)Fred and I spent a week in the Schoolroom at Dymock. It is gorgeous, and very comfortable, especially the Emporor sized bed. The owners were extremely pleasant though not in your face. The area is lovely with plenty to visit, though don’t look for The Birds of Prey - it closed more than 10 years ago but the signage still remains. The cottage had everything you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, so have no worries about promoting this holiday property. Enjoy your holiday.
