Awaken with a hot rinse in the en-suite shower room and rustle up a home-cooked breakfast, courtesy of the kitchen appliances. A short stroll will lead you to a dog-friendly pub, so you can unwind in a rustic setting with your furry friend and stock up on the essentials at the village store. Jump in the car to explore more, with the impressive Lydney Park for a tour of the gardens, explore earthwork at Offa's Dyke and the colourful rose garden at Bathurst Park. Visit the town of Monmouth, which provides easy access to the forest of Dean for a ramble through the woods and you can enjoy the tranquillity of the Wye Valley. The market town of Ross-on-Wye is also within reach, home to Thomas Blake Memorial Garden and charming riverside walks for a romantic evening; afterwards dine out at a fancy restaurant for a treat. Bed very comfortable and excellent shower. Used the pull out bed in living area, very easy to use and comfortable. Rich is an excellent host very helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area so a special thanks to him for making our family reunion so special. Very dog friendly and loved meeting Marley and Luna. Will certainly visit again. Thank you very much Elaine and Sammy (the Yorkie)

The cottage is all you need. The floor heating makes it so nice. It is very clean, has all you need for a superb stay. The owners are very friendly people. We felt very welcomed. Also, they were there for anything we needed. The pub next to the cottage is a pleasure to be in. All people were very friendly, you can tell the owners built a good relationship with the people in the surrounding area. We will for sure come back. And will recommend the cottage to our friends. The area is very beautiful, lots of nice walks. On arrival we had a very warm welcome and a big basket of goodies was waiting for us - this was very generous and also included treats for our dog. All the best to Richard & family! Veronica, Gavin & Ivy
